I originally chose to do my research paper on obesity in America. But it was too broad of a topic so I chose to narrow it down to only obesity in teens in America. I wanted to do my paper on this because looking to go into the medical field I find this topic very interesting. Also I chose this topic because it is a pressing issue in America and is a huge problem. Obesity in teens is effecting many people. There have been many attempts to reduce obesity from states like New York. Although many people have opposed this because of the political side of the economy. By reducing fattening foods and beverages would take profit from many stores that sell those things. I think that I want to take a persuasive approach on the paper. There are many possible subtopics for this research paper. Subtopics could possibly be What teens eat to get the size they do, the amount of food they eat, their caloric intake for each day, how much exercise they get every day, how healthy the food they eat is, how much fast food they eat/ how often they eat out, if they have a considerable amount of friends, their social life, statistics on obesity, and how many of america's teens are obese. I will most likely use the internet for most of my resources. I’ll also probably go to the public library and look for books on obesity. Since my mom works in the ER I could also look at some of her nursing magazines for any interesting articles on the topic.
I want to write about athletes and how they are admired by all but eventually get into financial and legal trouble. Everyone looks up to a great athlete such as LeBron James or Mike Trout. While these two particular athletes seem to have it all figured out, many of their counterparts seem to be huge trouble makers and always find their way into bankruptcy or behind bars. I also am guilty of admiring athletes that fall from the graces. We all do it. They seem to have it all between money, fame, endorsements, and the admiration of many. I want to write about the vast legal troubles and money wasting lifestyles of some of the worlds best athletes.
