Tell me what “verse”
you will contribute to the world, in two to three sentences OR lines of verse. Not to limit your creativity, but if you're stuck not knowing how to start, then maybe begin with a simple "I will ..."
One of my favorite verses from a soph song from many years ago went like this: "I will set the world ablaze."
Do not include
your name in your verse. I intend to put all of your class’s responses together
into one Song of the Sophs that we
will set to music and sing at the next schoolwide assembly.

about the music and singing part.

I am not afraid to let the world know me,
I will show them my true self.
Sharing my talents with the rest of the world is the key
In helping others and those in need
I may not be the best, but I’m good enough for me.
I am boisterous but I can be shy
I am stubborn but I am willing
I am a misunderstood contridiction to many, but I myself know who I want to be.
No matter where fate takes me, no one shall ground me.
I will be myself and be that well. I will help others who cannot help themselves.
I am a spontaneous outburst of song.
I will distract your mind from the stresses around you.
My music makes the days seem less long.
I pursue success and happiness
Hoping to be an inspiration
I fight for what is right
I will fight for what I believe in. I will not give up on the ones I love. I will challenge any obstacles that stand in my way.
I will aid, help, and assist others. No matter what I do, I am sure the purpose of my life is not to live for myself.
I want to make a difference in the world,
By helping people young and old
To accomplish their dreams
No matter what they are
Those who work hard will find success.
I work hard to be my best.
If I don’t work hard the only person I fail is myself.
Healing is what I'll do
I will care for those in need, even you
Love and passion are what will get me through,
So don't be afraid to call me, when you've got the flu.
I will travel, explore, and learn in hopes to get the most out of life.
I will be the best daughter, sister, friend, wife, and parent I can possibly be be.
I will leave the world a better place than it was when I entered it, since you have never truly lived until you have done something for someone who can never repay you.
To help others in times of need
To have passion and love
That's all I want to be
I am, who I am
I will never change for others
I will be a flag on the battlefield of life that stands tall and waves proud, no matter the outcome of the battle
I will be determined to succeed and ready to lead.
I will appreciate the strengths of others in areas where I am weakest, and I will not forget about those closest to me.
I will be humble enough to admit my defeats; but eager to learn from each mistake that I meet.
My mission in life is a mystery even to myself.
I search the heavens, I seek a voice of revelation.
I hold interests, I hold passions, yet my future remains as opaque as a foggy porthole.
One aspect I am assure, failure succumbing to success as misery will succumb to happiness.
I will stand my ground and stand up for those who are unable to do so. I will be the bigger person, both physically and mentally. I will spit in the faces of those who tell me I cannot.
I will be what i set out to be
I will not falter, no matter what challenges lay ahead.
I must not tell lies, even to myself
I will discover, explore, and excavate.
I will travel to foreign lands to seek what they have to offer.
I will unearth ancient secrets in the ruins of great cities.
I will complete stories from eras past.
I will connect the world of today with the cultures of days long ago.
