Tebowing

His name is Tim Tebow.

Just about everyone said that he didn't have the tools to be a professional quarterback, even though he won two NCAA national championships at Florida. Now he's 7-1 as a starter for the Denver Broncos, who lead their NFL division going into the last three weeks of the season.

He is a lightning rod for controversy. With every score and victory, he drops to a knee in prayer. The son of Christian missionaries, he seems too devout to be true to some, but authentic and inspirational to many others, including his teammates, who "believe" in him. He openly spouts scripture to them. In one pre-game pep talk, he called on them to work with one another, by quoting Proverbs 27:17, which states, “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.”

On Sunday he led the Broncos back from a 10-0 fourth quarter deficit to beat the Chicago Bears in overtime.

There is a web site dedicated to Tebowing, which the site defines as "to get down on a knee and start praying, even if everyone else around you is doing something completely different." People have sent in pictures of themselves Tebowing from all over the world.

Visit the site and maybe submit your own Tebowing photo if you're a fan, as I am.
