Blue Class Unit 5 soph vocab


Just five sentences using the words from Unit 5.

This is for the Blue Class only. Due Wednesday. Bring vocab books to class tomorrow!!!

1. The way she delineated her trip to the beach, made me want summer even more.

3.It's extremely awkward when you laugh at someone's enervate joke.

1. The farmer rejoiced when he discovered how fecund the land that he just acquired was.

2. The flickering shadows were just a figment of her paranoid imagination.

4. The mundane movie put half the audience to sleep with its stock plot and stale characters.

1. After only five minutes, the woman was lured into receiving a full make-up tutorial by the clever sophistry of the sales associate.
2. When I heard about the ice sculpture and four-tier cake, I could tell that Anna's sweet sixteen party would be sumptuous.
3. When Jack told us that he had seen a ghost in the corner of the room, we all knew it must have been a figment of his mind.
4. After the governor publicly insulted and criticized the new statue, he then proceeded to call it an ignominy.
5. After many laws were passed limiting the power of the state legislatures, many citizens argued that the government was becoming depraved.

1) Whenever I think I see something in the dark, I have to remind myself that it is only a figment of my imagination.
2) While my sister was at a party, I was stuck at home having to complete mundane tasks such as doing my laundry and cleaning my room.
3) Unfortunately for me, my algebra teacher is the reputed toughest teacher in the school.
4) Her overweening attitude and self-absorbtion resulted in her having difficulties making friends.
5) Michaelangelo delineated pictures of angels and other biblical figures on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel.

1. The author delineated the poem to help the reader really understand the concept and purpose of his choice of words.

2. My friends always come up with esoteric words and phrases so that we can still talk about things in public without other people realizing what we’re talking about.

3. Our art teacher gave us several new fiats because of our derogatory comments toward each other during class.

4. I feel bad for the people who are reputed of doing terrible things if they did not really do anything.

1. In The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, the majority of the novel depicts characters who are truly depraved, despite their polite outward behaviors.
2. Although computer programming seems like an esoteric mass of characters to me, it is like a second language to my dad.
3. Instead of staying calm during the power outage, the young girl let the figments of his imagination run wild and swore there were ghosts in his room.
4. The narcissistic man proved to have a constant idiosyncrasy of staring at his own reflection for long periods of time.
