Seniors #4 journal---Your Favorite Character
Think about some of your favorite characters from literature, film, theater, or television. Then choose one to complete ONE of the two writing prompts (remember--write a minimum of 25 blog lines or 200 words):
1. Choose one favorite character to write about, expressing how he or she is [one of] your favorite character[s].
In doing so, explain your choice, giving detailed examples of his or her actions, words, and/or thoughts/feelings. Your job is to make me want to read the book or watch the play, film, or show in which your character appears.
2. You've been given permission to "hang out" for a full day with one of your favorite characters. Who is he or she, of course? What would you do during this day? Describe one of your conversations. What questions might you ask him or her?

I decided to pick the first prompt and describe my favorite character from my favrotie graphic novel ever Scott Pilgrim. The character I choose to describe is Scott Pilgrim, the books main protagonist and hero. In the beginning of the series Scott is the paramount slacker. He is 23 years old, unemployed, and lives in a kind of crappy apartment with his roomate Wallace. He is the bassist in a band with his friends (Sex Bob-omb). Scott seems to be a very immature and absent-minded person chiefly concerned with video games and food. Scott seems to be an average guy, until he meets Ramona Flowers. As the two begin to date Scott learns that in order to fully date Ramona he has to defeat her Seven Evil Ex Boyfriends. This is where we see the heroic nature of scott come through. In increasingly difficult battles, Scott fights to win Ramona. The reason why i love the character of Scott Pilgrim he's a hero to all of the slackers out there (like me). He has many human flaws and faces many situations we might face. But he also is a great fighter and will fight to death for someone he loves.
