Vocab Unit 4--Yellow class




















Post this weekend before Monday morning!

Post five (5) sentences using your vocabulary words correctly, giving clues to the meanings of the words within your sentence.

SPECIAL DIRECTIONS:

3. When the hiker shouted in the canyon his voice reverberated back to him.
4. The scurrilous criminal had to be put in his own cell because he was to rough for his old cell-mates.
5. The pillow sold for 2.99 was too sleazy, so the customer bought the more expenxive one because it was better quality.

1. Even though both of her parents were very affable, the young girl seemed to be very shy and unsociable.

3. If you or someone you know is caught with contraband they can pay a very serious penalty including jail time.

The detectives could not INFER anything with the lack of sufficient evidence

The protesters were so angry and upset that they began to remonstrate in desperation.

When the couple’s son was taken in by the police, they acted as if they didn’t know him and repudiated their relationship with him.

The thunder reverberated throughout the house and made the picture fall off the wall.

During tryouts, the sedulous girl stood out from the others and was asked to be on the team for her hard efforts.

1. Once the zombie virus spread the situation was irrevocable and the human race had to fight to save itself.
2. The young Major had a propensity for killing zombies and lead many of the attacks in Northern Europe.
3. While many people remonstrated the invention of the zombie virus the scientists went along with their plans until everything went horribly wrong.
4. The screaming of the people reverberated through the empty city streets until they were rescued.
5. The zombie specialist was a very sedulous worker and was always trying to invent an antidote.

You can infer a lot about people from the way they handle themselves under stress.

2.Although the play scenery was constructed out of cardboard, four actors were required to carry it off of the stage because of its unwieldy shape.

3.The vapid assembly shown in the auditorium put the students to sleep.

4.While babysitting I played soporific music to help the children fall to sleep.

5.All of the teachers enforce the precept that no cell phones are to be used during school hours.
