Soph Green Class--Vocab Unit 1


Post (before class on Tuesday) five sentences using five different vocabulary words correctly, giving a clue to the meaning of the word within your sentence.

Of course, identify yourself according to your initials.

e.g. Finding strength in numbers, we formed a coalition to demand better food service at our college's cafeteria.

1. Because the girl's front teeth had a large hiatus between them, she had to wear braces for two years.

2. When she couldn't figure out the answer, we had to give her an innuendo to help her out.

3. Even though his jeans were worn out and jaded, he still wore them all the time.

4. The scary movie caused the young boy such terrible,lurid thoughts as he tried to sleep.

5. Sometimes I can be really petulant because I get annoyed and upset very easily.

2. In my attempt to elicit the correct code from the computer, I accidentally triggered the alarm.

1. After I had delivered my speech, the teacher showed his approbation by clapping.
2.The more I tried to elicit the information from my classmate, the more irriated she got.
3.I tried to ignore the girl's rude comments but i finally had to intercede when she started to talk about my friend.
4.She transcended the teacher's expectations.
5.Her shoes were very jaded but she refused to get a new pair.

1. When my mom and I were agruing i hinted rude innuendo and got into more trouble.

2. The movie had such a lurid ending that everyone was talking about it for days.

3. Her jaded expression told me that she was tired, bored and ready to leave.

4. Has her eyes were tearing i tried to tell a joke to assauge her feelings and make her feel better.

5. I tried to elicit the information from her in a short amount of time before she had to leave.

4. Once Bob rescued the woman from the car accident, he was thought to be meritorious by many from the town.

2. The teacher went over every vocab words in the unit which gave us an innuendo that we're going to have a test soon.

4. When the 3 year old boy was crying, Kevin decided to give the boy some candy to aassuage him and make him stop crying.

4. there always seemed to be one student to transcend amongst all the other students.

5. The new ride at Disney simulated you to believe that you were actually flying, and touring the world.

1. Some jokes and insults are so hackneyed, they no longer have any effect on people.

2. I always try not to intercede for anyone just because of the fact I don't want to be held accountable for anyone's actions besides my own.

3. The Red Sox's record thus far has transcended my expectations by far after watching how terribly they did at the beginning of the season.

4. I feel like most movies and television shows about firefighting become very unrealistic when trying to simulate the inside of a fire using special effects.

5. Our generation may be the last before the decadence of people communicating in person and having social skills.

2. I always try to expostulate people from eating meat because I am a vegetarian.

3. Everyone was mad at my sister because she gave my mom an innuendo as to when his surprise party was.

5. My aunt gave me such approbation for the beautiful homemade card I made for her birthday.
