Seniors journal #1: Your Bucket List (post before Friday, Dec. 7)

Consider this first journal a curious mixture of themes presented in the somber short story, The Portable Phonograph, and a movie called The Bucket List, a 2009 film in which two older men make a list of things they want to do before they die or "kick the bucket."

In keeping with the themes of both works, here's your exercise:

Before you meet your maker, you will be granted all of these last wishes.
Make your choices, and briefly explain in a sentence or two.

Post before class on Friday, December 7.

1. final thing to read (OK, so even if you don't like to read, this is your final reading of anything, so with that in mind, seriously consider your decision)
2. final song that you'd like to hear
3. movie or tv show that you'll watch one last time
4. final website you'll visit (www.schoolsville.blogspot.com, of course)
5. final meal
6. place or event you'd like to visit or attend
7. you get instant knowledge on any one of life's great serious mysteries
8. you get instant knowledge on any one of life's great head-scratchers (make this humorous, like why do people think The Office is funny?)
9. other than any of the above, one last activity you'd like to do
10. now this isn't a wish, but tell me a prized possession that you would literally guard with your life

1. The final thing that I would read is the last two books of the Hunger Games. I read the first book and enjoyed it but I never seem to find the time to read the other two books. I would feel that by completing the trilogy it would mean something more than just reading a book.
2. The final song I would like to hear is “We are the Champions.” It is a classic song that I like tremendously and would make me feel like during my time on earth, I achieved all my goals.
3. The tv show that I would watch one last time would be the first show from “That 70’s show.” It is the only episode that I have don’t remember as well and would love to watch it again. Also, this episode is almost never on so I have been unable to watch it.
4. The final website I would visit would be noaa.gov. I am constantly checking to see the weather daily and I would like to know the weather of how the last few days of my life would be.
5. My final meal would consist of garlic bread, cheddar worse (like a hot dog with melted cheese in it), and pumpkin pie. These are my three favorite foods in my meals.
6. The place I would visit one last time would be Disney World in Florida. It is said to be the happiest place on earth so it would make sense to be in the happiest place in the world my last few days alive. Also, I just recently visited there and it truly is a magnificent place.
7. I would love to know if there is a heaven and God. If I am about to die I would like some reissuance that there is an afterlife with a God that loves all. This would probably make me feel more “ok” about dying.
8. I would like to know how so many famous people with a ton of money seem to get themselves in trouble and how they always seem to spend all their money. If I owned that much money I would not know how to spend it all and would be so grateful that I had that much money that I would never do anything to be put in jail or have that money be taken from me.
9. One activity that I would do is go skydiving. I always had the desire to go but I am a little scared and have never had the opportunity to go. If I am about to die my fear would go away because I am going to die anyway.
10. I would guard my necklace my grandmother gave me. She gave it to me months before she died and said it was special. It has St. Jude on the front with a soccer player on the back. I am not sure why she said it was special but I promised her I would never lose it and I intend on keeping that promise.

1. The last thing I would like to read would be the most recent Jack Reacher book. It is a series written by Lee Child and all of my favorite books are from this series. They all are around 300-400 pages and I can read one a week. If I had one day to read one book from the series I’m sure I could finish it.
2. The final song I would like to hear would be Skyfall by Adele. It was written and recorded for the most recent James Bond movie but I can listen to it on iTunes just like it is any other song. It’s very appropriate for the situation and if I had one word to describe it, it would be beautiful. It is appropriate because it is about someone facing what looks like the end for them and them standing tall in front of their end.
3. I would watch Remember the Titans one final time. I have probably seen it over thirty times and one more couldn’t hurt. When I was a kid my family would go to get movies from video showplace every Friday and I would always get Remember the Titans. No matter how many times I watch it the end still gives me chills and Denzel Washington is my favorite actor so it would be my top pick for the last movie of my life.
4. The final website I would visit would probably be Facebook so I could say goodbye to people I won’t see again or view friends smiles one more time before I pass.
5. My final meal would be a 12 ounce filet mignon, tater tots, mozzarella sticks, and a root beer float. Every Saturday at my household is steak night, my dad grills two steaks one for me and for him. Filets are my favorite kind of steak and I always have tater tots with my steak. Mozzarella sticks are my favorite appetizer and root beer floats are my favorite beverage so I would combine them all into one epic meal.
6. The last place I would visit would be the Highlands in Scotland. I absolutely loved them when I went in 2010. It is my favorite place on earth and extremely calming; it seems perfect for my last day alive.
7. I would spend my one free instant knowledge on whether or not the Illuminati are real. I’ve always been curious about them and I know it’s silly to believe in a group like that but it would still be cool to know.
8. The head scratcher I would like to have instant knowledge about would be…What's the youngest you can be to die of old age?
9. One last activity I would like to do would to win a state championship in football as a senior. My opportunity passed for this one but it was what I wanted most other than getting into JMU for college. I would just want to know what it feels like to have done all the work and finally get that ultimate reward.
10. I have the last picture taken of me and my mother before she past. And it is on my desk in my view every day in the same frame that it was given to me in when I was in kindergarten. It is the only thing I would protect with my life other than a person.

Since I am not that much of a reader, it wouldn't be a tough decision to pick one book that I would have to read before I die. I would probably pick The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain, because this book taught an important lesson to me about society and our values. Twain's point in this book is to show that you can't judge a person by race or appearance. I love this book because I agree with Twain's message and believe that giving every person a chance is the moral thing to do. Music is one of my favorite hobbies. There are some many different types of music that I listen to, so this would be a tough decision. I would listen to the song Three Little Birds by Bob Marley, because the whole song has a positive vibe. It's just one of those songs that get you in a good mood. It makes me think about all the good times I have had with my family and friends up until this point. If I could watch one more movie before I die, it would have to be Remember the Titans. This movie just represents growing up in so many ways. This movie is motivational to me. This movie reminds me about making new friends, because the movie is about coming together no matter where you come from. It also makes me reminisce about the fun times I had with my high school soccer team. It is a warm-hearted movie that I love to watch from time to time. If I was going to die, the final website I would visit would be Facebook. I would go on Facebook to say my last goodbyes to my friends and family. My final meal would have to be "surf and turf", or better known as steak and lobster tail. These two foods are my favorite because they are treats. They both taste delicious and go good on a summer night. A place that I would love to go before I die would be Australia. I really want to go see the Great Barrier Reef. I think Australia would be a fun place to surf also. I want to find out if the president's book of secrets is real and what information it contains. I want to see what presidents wrote in it and if any of the information in it is top secret. The head scratcher that I would like to know is who came first, the chicken or the egg. I think this is a goofy head scratcher that nobody knows the answer too. It would be interesting to find out what the real answer is for science but also the interest of mankind. The last thing I would like to do is have a catch with a football with my dad and talk about all the fun times we had together. My dad is my best friend and I would miss him so much if I was going to die. The prized possession that I would literally guard with my life is the picture of my parents and me when I was playing soccer for my high school soccer team. It symbolizes my love for my parents and my passion of soccer.

If I had to choose one final thing to read I would probably choose the Bible. I don’t completely believe in God and religious symbols and things like that but knowing that I'm going to die would make me want to be sure of my choices in what to believe in. I would want to read the whole Bible from start to finish. Because maybe I would come across something that made me believe. Maybe I wouldn’t find anything and be secure in my beliefs when I die. Either way, I would want to do some research that I wouldn’t have the motivation to do if I knew I was going to live a while longer.
Choosing a final song would be a tough decision because I don’t have one favorite song. I will listen to songs for a while then get bored of them and find a new one to be obsessed with for a week or two. A song that I really enjoy at the moment is the song Mr. Brightside by the Killers cover. It is a cover done on the violin and it is such a beautiful cover. I think I like it even more than the actual song.
A movie that I would want to be the last movie I ever saw would probably be the movie Remember Me with Robert Pationson. It’s my favorite movie because it’s such an emotional movie. People fall in love, get in fights, and there are several situations that deal with deaths of loved ones in the past and the main character dies in the end of the movie.
A final website that I would visit would be Tumblr. It’s a fun website to express yourself and so many people have pages on this sight that I would look for hours and hours.
My final meal would have to be lobster tail. It is my all time favorite meal. I love it steamed and dipped in lots and lots of butter. It is the most delicious thing I’ve ever eaten in my life so far and I would love to have it as a last meal.
I used to always want to visit Greece but then my dream came true! I would love to go back at some point in my life. I would even choose to go back there to the islands if I could for my last place to go as long as it isn’t in complete turmoil at that point in time.
I would love to know if mermaids were actually real. It would be kind of an interesting thing to find out. Also it wouldn’t matter if they did or didn’t exist because I would be dying soon anyway but I’ve always been curious. And I’m always curious if they actually are real, are they nice or mean?
One of life’s head scratchers that I would want to know is why they ever made a Honey Boo Boo Child show. I don’t know why people enjoy seeing a disgusting family’s life. It’s one of those things were I lose a little bit of hope in society when I know that people actually watch that show.
I would have to go cliff jumping before I die. It seems like so much fun and excitement to jump off a cliff into crystal clear water.
A prized possession that I would guard my life with would be my childhood stuffed animals. I have two that I have grown up with and they still sit in my room to this day. They have so many memories associated with them that I would never want to lose them.

1. If I had to choose one final thing to read, I would choose to read the book titled The Five People You Meet In Heaven. This book is an amazing story and it talks about what happens once you get to heaven. It is actually kind of calming and would make me almost curious as to what happens in heaven, which I believe would take away some of the fear of dying.
2. I would love to hear Clair De Lune. I’ve been listening to that song since I was about 13, ever since I learned how calming it could be. I love listening to classical music whenever I am stressed because it takes my mind off of everything and allows me to focus on the true beauty of music.
3. I would watch Grey’s anatomy. This show really has no significance with heaven, but I’ve been obsessed with the show for a couple of years. It’s about a group of doctors working in a hospital that develop relationships amongst each other, which creates lots of drama, but at the same time it is educational because you learn a lot about the human body and science.
4. Probably facebook, because I would like to see pictures of my family that I haven’t seen in a while. Facebook has many pictures that keep me up to date with the family that I never usually see.
5. I would definitely complete my life with mashed potatoes and gravy, turkey, corn and a breadstick. Mashed potatoes and gravy are my absolute favorite food.
6. I would like to visit Wildwood New Jersey, because that is where my family goes on vacation every summer. I have so many fun memories there, and I would definitely want one last trip for old time’s sake.
7. I would love to know how the first human was made. I ponder this question at least once a week.
8. I would love to know why so many people are obsessed with Justin Beiber?
9. I know this isn’t necessarily a possession, but I’m going to say it anyway because there really isn’t any object worth risking my life for. I would guard my family with my life, especially my three younger brothers. They mean the world to me and I would take a bullet for them.

1. The final thing I would want to read is "The Stranger" by Albert Camus. It seems like a really interesting book. I like things that a bit twisted.
2. The final song I would like to hear is "Poppin' Champagne" by All Time Low. I love this band and this song would be my celebration of my death. One last toast before I go.
3. The last movie I would ever see before I go would have to be "The Little Mermaid." This movie was my favorite as a kid and even today. It'll remind me of all the things I've forgotten and who I used to be.
4. Tumblr, hands down, would be the last website I'd visit. My tumblr is really personal to me because it holds all my thoughts, wants and dreams.
5. My final meal would be a Souvlaki, from Greece, all different types of potatoes, Crunchy Tuna Roll, spaghetti and meatballs and all different types of dessert. They might not go well together but oh well.
6. I would like to go everywhere before I die. I want to see all the things I wasn't able to see. However, if I had to pick one, I would go to India. I really want to see how people in India live. I love their culture, I guess. The way the women dress and their body piercings. I also love elephants.
7. I would like to know if mermaids, sirens, all mythological and supernatural creatures are real. I've always been curious about the supernatural and mythology. It'd be nice to know if it's all real or not.
8. Why am I not a billionaire? Is what I would like to know! Or why can't I win the Powerball!
9. Before I die I would like travel and do every crazy, foolish and adventurous thing I was too afraid to do before.
10. My books. I love my books more than anyone knows. Each book has a memory or song(s)that go with it. I can't see myself not having my books. I am a bit OCD when it comes to them. I like them in top condition and all. I just don't think my life would be the same without my books.

1. The last thing I would chose to read is Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky. Even though I've read it many times, its my favorite book. I gives me strength and will help me face the end of my life without anxiety.
2. The last song I'd like to hear would be Seven Nation Army by The White Stripes. This is a kind of song that pumps you up no matter what your day has been like.
3. I would watch New Girl once more because laughter can cure anything. It is one of the funniest sitcoms I've ever seen.
4. I would probably visit Pintrest to get a recipe to cook my last meal.
5. My final meal would be something that reminds me of my mom's home cooking without the burnt edges. This would probably be something like lasagna or chicken and dumplings.
6. I would really like to go to Disney World one last time, so that I may remember all the good times I've experience there with family.
7. I would like to know which religion has the most accurate ideas about the universe.
8. Although this may not make sense. I want to know how erasers erase pencil. This is almost definitely told on the internet, but I wouldn’t have time to google search that if I’m busy at Disney.
9. I would like to just sit in the park and watch everyone walk around. This may sound awfully boring, but that was when I remember being the most at peace.
10. I’d keep my grandma’s necklace that she gave to me before she died. It’s a tiny snowman. I’d still wear it if my neck didn’t grow to twice the size of hers.

1. I’m not a big reader, but if I had to choose one book it would be ”Heaven is for Real” because I have heard very good things about the book and it might make me more comfortable with the thought of dying. It gives a child’s perspective about death and what happened when he slipped into unconsciousness.
2. The final song I would like to hear is “Take Breath” by the Jonas Brothers. It is one of my all time favorite songs and it always calms me down when I hear it. It reminds me that things change in life and when life gets crazy just step back and take a breath.
3. The movie I would watch one last time would be “21 Jumpstreet” because it is one of my favorite movies. It is an extremely funny movie and it makes me laugh so hard every time I watch it and Channing Tatum is in it so that’s an added bonus.
4. The final website I would visit would be Twitter because I check it numerous times a day. I would want to see what everyone was up to one last time before I die.
5. My final meal would be soup, salad and breadsticks from Olive Garden with a chocolate cupcake for dessert. This is my favorite restaurant and whenever I get there I always get the soup, salad and breadsticks. I chose a chocolate cupcake for dessert because I love chocolate.
6. The one place I would like to visit is California. It has always been a dream of mine to go there and visit with my family.
7. I would like to know if there is heaven and what happens to you after you die. If I knew it would make the thought of dying a little less scary. It would also be comforting to know if you were going to see your deceased relatives after you die.
8. The one of life’s great head scratchers that I want an answer to is how does Honey Boo Boo have a show? It is a completely pointless show and every one is always talking about it. What’s so great about a little red neck girl who is in pageants? It makes me loose my faith in humanity.
9. One last thing I want to do would be to go swimming with dolphins. I have always wanted to it ever since I was little and it would be nice to fulfill my dream.
10. The one thing I would guard with my life would be the photo album that has family pictures in it. My family is everything to me and I would be devastated if anything ever happened to that album.

1. The last Twilight book, Breaking Dawn because in the end it talks about how their love is forever and I obviously would want to believe that my love with whomever is my husband will go on forever even if I died.
2. I would like to hear Save Tonight by Eagle Eye Cherry as my last song because it is so fitting of the night. The chorus is “ Save tonight, and fight the break of dawn come tomorrow, tomorrow I’ll be gone.”
3. Coyote Ugly has been my favorite movie since I can remember, so I would deffinetly watch that. The series OC would be the TV show because I have all seasons on DVD and have watched the entire series over 50 times.
4. The last website I visit would have to be twitter because most of my friends follow me and I would have to say goodbye to all of them. I also could see what they are up to in my last hours.
5. The final meal I would eat would have to be at Fogo de Choa, a Brazilian steakhouse. I went there for my sixteenth birthday and have never had a better meal. They give you a card with a green and red side and when you are ready for meat you flip it to green, they come over and cut off pieces of the best meat you will ever taste in your life. They also start you off with a salad bar with everything you can possibly imagine.
6. A dinner party in the Buckingham Palace would be a dream come true for me. I lived in England for two years, so I was able to visit London many times and the palace was always my favorite site. I would love to have a dinner with the queen and the princes!
7. I would love to know exactly what babies think when us strange large people start mumbling to them. We think there so cute, so what do they think?
8. Why does wearing all black make women look slim?
9. I would love to attend an event on the red carpet and get to wear one of the beautiful ball gowns.
10. My Louis Vuitton purse I just received for my birthday. It is the most expensive gift I have ever received and I cannot imagine how I would react if anyone took it from me.

1. The last thing I would like to read before I die would be the daily newspaper. Although I do not read the newspaper regularly, I like to stay up to date on current events and things happening in the area. I would like to know what was happening in the news before I died.
2. The final song I would like to hear would be “It’s So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday” by Boyz II Men. Even though this song might sound depressing, it would remind me that the good times in my life outweighed the bad times. This is an important thing to realize before you die.
3. The movie that I would watch one last time would be 21 Jump Street. This movie would make me laugh and cheer me up in what could be a sad time.
4. The final website I would visit would be youtube.com. I would watch all my favorite funny videos and listen to my favorite songs one last time.

6. A place I would like to visit before I die would be Bora Bora. I have always wanted to stay in one of the over-water bungalows. Experiencing paradise like this would be very relaxing.
7. The great mystery I would like to know before I died would be what exactly was on the missing minutes of the Watergate tapes. It would be interesting to know exactly what happened during that scandal.
8. The “head-scratcher” I would like to know the answer to would be “What color was George Washington’s white horse?” This one has had me puzzled for years, and it would be great to know the answer.
9. One last activity that I would like to do would be skydiving. I have always wanted to do this, and I think it would be really cool to experience the adrenaline rush at least once in my life.
10. The prized possession I would guard with my life would be my St. Patrick medal. This necklace means a lot to me and I would not want to ever lose it. I would be sure I was wearing it when I died so that I could hold it close to me forever.

3. The final tv show I would want to watch would be criminal minds. Criminal minds is my favorite show so I would definitely have to choose this as my last show to watch.
4. Twitter. Without a doubt, twitter would be the final website I would visit. As superficial as it sounds, I’m kind of addicted to twitter. I would have to visit twitter as my last website because I would want to tweet goodbye to all of my followers.

If I had to read one last book before I was to die, I would choose to read “A Million Miles in a Thousand Years” by Donald Miller. The book explains how Hollywood wanted to change his life story to make it more interesting for a screenplay. Miller talks about how he would like to go back and do his life over differently, to make it more interesting. It puts into perspective that life is short and you cannot waist the valuable time you have doing mundane tasks that could be replaced by fun. The last song I would listen to is “My Wish” by Rascal Flatts. This song is all about getting the most out of life and never forgetting about your goals you ultimately have your eyes on. It really is a comforting song and truly speaks to my heart because of the beautiful lyrics. The last movie I would watch would be “Finding Nemo”. I truly feel like a child a heart when I watch this movie. I could get lost in the silliness of the one-liners and cute story of a father’s love for his child. The last website I would visit would be YouTube. There are so many videos to watch on there. I could literally spend hours on YouTube. My final meal would be French Quarter Chicken with Chips and Salsa and an Iced Tea from Border’s Café. This restaurant is seriously my favorite place to eat so it would only be fitting to go eat there for the last time. An event I would like to go to would be New Year’s Eve in New York City. I will probably never go there in my life but if I had one wish to go anywhere it would definitely be there. The craziness and excitement would be something to definitely experience in life. If I had instant knowledge on any of life’s serious mysteries it would be, is there really a Heaven and what is it like? I guess if I were about to die it would be comforting to know that but it might also be helpful to share with others to help further their belief in religion and the afterlife. If I could get instant knowledge on anyone of life’s head scratchers it would be, why can’t dogs talk? I love my dogs. Their personalities are polar opposites but that’s what I love about them. I would love to know what they would say if they had the chance to talk just because their lives seem so interesting. A prized possession that I would guard with my life would be my Scarecrow(Wizard of Oz) Piggy bank that my grandparents gave to me when I was five. Now that they are passed, it means a lot to me. If anything were to happen to that piggy bank, I would be absolutely heartbroken.

1.) Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Book 7). I would choose to read this because is my absolute favorite book, and I’ve already read it a total of nine times.
2.) Autumn Leaves by Ed Sheeran or My Heart Will Go On by Celine Dion. This is probably the hardest question on this list because I love so many different songs, and simply can’t choose between these two. My Heart Will Go On because it is part of one of my favorite movies, Titanic. It is also one of me and my mom's favorite songs. Autumn Leaves because it is by one of my favorite artists, Ed Sheeran. I like it because it has an almost melancholy and accepting sound.
3.) Movie would be Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix because it is one of my all time favorite movies. TV show would be Charmed because I’ve loved it since I was little, and it brings back a lot of childhood memories.
4.) Twitter or Facebook to say my final goodbyes.
5.) Final meal would be popcorn, grilled cheese, bacon, and orange sherbet ice cream from King’s Ice Cream in Lewes, Delaware, because they are all of my favorite foods.
6.) Ireland, because my father was born there and I am 75% Irish. I’m proud of my Irish heritage and would love to visit the country of my forbearers.
7.) I would like to know the cure for Cystic Fibrosis, in hopes of relaying it upon someone before my untimely death, to end this disease once and for all.
8.) Where did the million dollars go from Forest Gump’s “Million dollar womb”? Because I know Forest hasn’t seen a nickel of that million dollars.
9.) I would like to horseback ride in the hills of Australia. I love horseback riding, and Australia is on the top five lists of places I would like to visit.
10.) I don’t think this really counts as a possession, but I would protect my dog with my life. She is my best friend (pathetic I know) but she means everything to me. She’s always there to welcome me home even if I’ve had a really bad day. She lies with me when I get my treatments, and sleeps with me at night. I would guard my dog with my life, and she is the most priceless “possession” I have.

Choosing the final thing that I would like to read before I die might be one of the hardest questions asked her. There are so many great books that I love to read multiple times but the one book that I would read as my final book would have to be Perks Of Being A Wallflower. I am able to resonate with the main character in so many ways and this book has helped me with some of the struggles that we all face during high school. When asked what is the last song I would like to hear before I die, I immediately thought of the song Hallelujah. I love this song because the lyrics are so raw and they can be interpreted in numerous ways. There have been many different covers of the song but my favorite is by Kate Voegele. She sings the song beautifully and really taps into all the emotions that are brought up whenever this song is heard. Without a doubt, I would pick Modern Family as my final TV show. Modern Family has brought so many laughs and good times into my life that it is only fitting I have a few giggles before I leave this Earth. Besides www.schoolsville.blogspot.com, the final website I would visit is www.lettersillneversend.com. This website is for people who need to vent. I love it because you keep everything anonymous so one will ever know who posted the letter. I can go to this website and read what is going on in other people’s lives and I can know that I am not alone when it comes to certain situations. I also love it because I can vent about someone and they will never have any idea that this letter is about them. My final meal would of course be dessert incorporating some form of chocolate, because a chocoholic has to have a little bit of chocolate before dying. One place I would love to visit is Haiti so I can do my part in helping to make this world a better place. I would love to get instant knowledge on what point of life is all about. What is the whole point of this thing we all call “life”? My Head-scratcher questions would be: If a tree falls in the forest does it still make a sound if no one is around to hear it? One activity I would like to do is take a long run on the beach at sunrise while listening to Zac Brown Band. I find the most peace and motivation while on these runs and having “me” time before I die would be nice. I guess you could say that my most prized processions are my family and friends. I would not be here today if it wasn’t for them, literally. You can’t count people as processions, so I would say that my most prized procession would be they memories I have with these people. I know that no matter where I go in life I will always have these moments of pure joy to look back on if I ever start to feel lost or alone.

The last book that I could ever read would most likely be Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. This is a New York Times Best Seller book and is by far my most favorite read. It’s about a home of children that live in a time warp on a little island during WWII. It’s such an interesting story because the author uses photographs found at yard sales to piece together the tale. If it was the last piece of music to ever reach my ears, I would listen to Flightless Bird, American Mouth by Iron & Wine. It has such a peaceful melody. It gives me a calming sensation and sense of happiness. The last movie I would ever watch would definitely be Across the Universe. It is a Beatles musical set during the Vietnam War. It follows the story of a young man named Jude and his journey to America to find his dad but he ends up falling in love with a girl. The movie contains the best covers of Beatles music I have ever heard and I could watch it all day. The last TV series that I would ever watch would have to be 2 Broke Girls. It’s a comical show about Caroline and Max working at a diner as waitresses and trying to upstart their own cupcake business. It never fails to make me laugh and they even own a horse in the middle of New York City. I am not entirely sure of the last website I would go on because I don’t really go online all that much. I would have to say youtube.com because than I could watch videos all day of entertainment value and enjoy a few laughs before I die. My final meal has no thought to it because I know exactly what I would want to eat. I would enjoy buffalo chicken nuggets with bleu cheese dressing, garlic bread, watermelon smoothie, and KitKats. The last place I would want to visit would be the countryside of Ireland. It is so picturesque and it rains a good percentage of the time. It has been my dream to visit Ireland for years. If I could gain instant knowledge on any one of life’s great serious mysteries it would, without a doubt, be Easter Island. I really want to know how all those statues got there and why they are all facing the same way and who carved them. One of life’s head-scratchers I want to know the answer to is why people think war is the answer to solving problems? Why can’t people just fight their arguments out in a room together instead of killing each other and innocent civilians? The last activity I would like to do is backpack across Europe. It would probably take a couple of months so that I could experience the culture from each country. I would be prolonging my death and having a wonderful time. I love camping and hiking and to do it in Europe would be a once in a life time experience. A prized possession that I would literally guard with my life would be my dad’s navy jacket. It’s one of the few things of his that I have left and every time I put it on it makes me feel close to him and that he’s watching over me.

5) My last supper would consist of homemade spaghetti and meatballs. This is a meal I have had all my life. Until recently, I would always have the sauce and meatball homemade with pasta from the box. I have learned how to make pasta from scratch, and it complements my mother’s famous sauce and meatballs very well.
6) One event I want to witness before I die is an operating room. This is assuming I never make it to becoming a surgeon. I want to visit the place where all the magic happens. Where the surgeon is doing his job perfectly and saving someone’s life.
7) If I could get instant knowledge on any of life’s mysteries it would be the cure to cancer. I do not fully understand what cancer actually is and what are the serious complications behind a cure, but I know the cure is within our capabilities.
8) A head-scratcher I would love to know is where Waldo actually is. No one seems to be able to find this person, including myself. I was always bad at finding Waldo in the books, so I want to know where he actually is.
9) One last activity I would want to do is shoot hoops in an empty gym. Shooting in an empty gym is the most relaxing thing to do. It allows me to clear my mind or it lets me contemplate life. Which ever one I’m doing, an empty gym is the best place for it.
10) A prized possession of mine is my morals and integrity. No matter what happens in my life, I will always have those two things to fall back on. With that said, I will protect them with my life. Even in the face of death, I will keep my morals and integrity with me and will not go against them.

1) The last thing I would like to read would be the book “Goodnight Moon” by Margaret Wise Brown. I would like to read this story because I always love finding the mouse hiding on every page, and it is my favorite childhood book.
2) There are many songs and artists I would like to listen to one last time, but if I had to pick I would like to listen to any song by The Avett Brothers. There is not one song of theirs that I do not love.
3) The last TV show I would like to watch would be “Arthur”, specifically the episode where Arthur and Francine get locked in the library at night. I like this episode because at the end they eat this deliciously cheesy pizza and they make it look so good.
4) The final website I would visit would be pandora.com so I could listen to any music that I want.
5) The final meal I would like to be would be breakfast buffet consisting of sausage smothered in syrup, all kinds of donuts, omelets, buttered toast, bacon and peanut butter sandwiches, turkey bacon, and pancakes, I would like a large ice cold Diet Coke to go along with this. And for dessert I would like double stuffed Oreos dipped in cold milk.
6) The final place I would like to visit would be Greenland. I would like to sit in a natural hot spring in the winter at night and look up at the Northern Lights. I can’t sleep without my galaxy nightlight and my lava lamp, and seeing the Northern Lights would be like multiple giant, colorful nightlights in the sky.
7) The mystery that I would like to know the answer to would be is there such things as aliens or life on other planets, and where does space stop and what is located at it’s end. I would also like to know why animals can’t speak.
8) I would like to know who ever decided to take animals for walks on strings, and let them live inside our homes and sleep at the end of our beds. I’m not complaining, I have three dogs and I love animals, but who ever decided this was normal?
9) The last activity I would like do is bounce on a giant cube of orange Jell-O with all of my friends and family, just because it would be fun.
10) My prized possession would be my three dogs

1) If I had to choose one novel to be my last one I would choose Fifty Shades Freed. This is the third book in the trilogy and I have enjoyed the first two immensely. It actually does turn into a love story and the two characters live what society would call the perfect life. They have beauty, money, status, and most important, love.
2) I would pick “Butterfly Kisses” as the last song I would ever hear. My dad and I used to listen to this when I was younger so it means a lot to me.
3) The movie that I would watch for the last time would be “Die Hard.” I absolutely love Bruce Willis and this quickly began my favorite movie after the first time I watched it. Even though I have seen it probably over a hundred times, I would watch it again any day. It is so thrilling.
4) The final website I would visit would probably Twitter. I know, typically for a teenager. I would want to catch up on all the drama before I “kicked the bucket.”
5) My final meal would be a very tough decision. I would probably pick to go to a buffet. I love Italian, Chinese, Mexican and “American” food. I just wouldn’t be able to decide. But at the buffet, I could have it all.
6) The place that I would like to visit would be Italy and/or Bora Bora. They both seem so beautiful in pictures, obviously for different reasons, it is my dream to visit these ideal getaways.
7) If I was privileged enough to get knowledge of one of life’s greatest mysteries I would want to know how the planets were created. It blows my mind to even think about all of the theories and possibilities that are hypothesized about our universe.
8) Life’s greatest head-scratchers that I would want to know is why do people like American Horror Story. It is a television show that nearly everyone I know is obsessed with and I just can’t understand why!
9) The last activity I would like to do is sky diving. I have always wanted to do this and when I turn 18 I am going to. It looks so exhilarating and probably makes your adrenaline go through the roof!
10) One possession that I would guard with my life is my cross necklace. I wear it everyday and only take it off for volleyball and to shower. This necklace means the world to me. The person that gave it to me taught me so much about life. I didn’t fully understand any of these

1. The last book I would choose to read would be “The Five People You Meet in Heaven” by Mitch Albom. I have already read one of his other books, called “Tuesday’s with Morrie” several times. I found that I loved that book so much that I am now determined to read all of his others. I would choose this particular one because if I am going to be on my way out of this earth, I would want to be more informed about the life awaiting me.
2. The last song I would listen to would be Guardian Angel by Red Jumpsuit Apparatus. This has always been one of my favorite songs, and I believe it would be fitting for the occasion. I would hope that even as I die, that there was a Guardian Angel watching over me.
3. The last movie I would choose to watch over again would be Gran Tourino, starring one of my favorite actors off all time, Clint Eastwood. It is a touching story about an old man who offers up his own life in order to spare the lives of his Asian neighbors, who are continuously being harassed and abused by whites who are against them. With such an inspiring story, it would leave me with a great message to take into account as I leave the earth. It would remind me to think about the big picture, and to appreciate the little things given in life.
4. The last website I would peruse would be Facebook. In this way, I could say my goodbyes to people I didn’t have the chance to, and look at pictures with people dear to my heart. That way I could have a visual picture in my head of those I love.
5. The final meal I would eat would be at Grotto’s Pizza. I would have a Junior cheese pizza, light on the sauce, with a salted caramel gelato ice cream as a dessert. I have been going to Grotto’s with my family since the day I was born, and it would be nice to have my last meal there to remind me of all the good memories spent with my family and friends.
6. I would like to visit Hawaii before I die. The farthest I have ever traveled was to Orlando, Florida, and I have always wanted to experience places much farther away from Delaware. Hawaii would be the perfect fit for me because it would have two things I love: the beach, and hot weather.
7. There is one question that has deeply perplexed during my life so far. I would want to know why it is true, in so many cases, that “Only the good die young.” In my life, I have witnessed so many good people die earlier than some of the most horrible people in the world. I don’t understand why the good people have to suffer, and yet the worst people get to live on and experience more in the world. Shouldn’t it be the other way around? Is there a secret behind this?
8. Why do most people in the world try to act like everyone else? Why does our society find it so hard to embrace our differences?
9. If I could do any activity in the world, I would go sky diving. That has always been a dream of mine to accomplish before I die. I love anything that will give me adrenaline rush.
10. My prized possession is the necklace my boyfriend gave to me as a present for Christmas. It is a loving reminder to me that I will always have someone who genuinely cares for me until the very end of my life. If I was going to die, I would want to keep that dear to my heart up until it was my time to go. It would keep me motivated to stay alive, and remind me that I have someone to live for.

1.) I’m not a big reader but the final book that I would read is probably Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand because it is one of the only books that I have been able to actually read all the way through and enjoy every part of it.
2.) Final song that I would like to hear before I die would be something relaxing. Probably a country song by Jason Aldean.
3.) The final movie I would like to see is Never Back Down or Miracle because they are both inspirational movies and they are my favorite movies.
4.)The final website I would visit is probably youtube.com because I spend a lot of time on it.
5.) Final meal I would like to have before I die would be a tomato pie from Tony’s Pizza because it’s so good.
6.) I want to visit somewhere in Europe before I die to see a soccer game.
7.) If I had instant knowledge of any one of life’s greatest mysteries it would be is there a heaven? This is something that I am sure everyone would like to know.
8.) Why isn’t soccer considered the greatest sport in the United States?
9.) One of the last activities I would like to do is go skydiving. It’s just something that I want to experience before I die.
10.) Right now I don’t think I have any materialistic item that I would consider sacrificing my life for.

Before I die I would like to finish all of the Harry Potter books. I’m not a huge reader and actually I can honestly say I haven’t read a book for fun probably since 8th grade but I would definitely choose Harry Potter. I would pick the entire series because I really like the movies and I’ve always wanted to read the books but have never really gotten the time to just sit down and read them all. The final song that I would like to hear would be Sleepyhead by Passion Pit. Passion Pit is my absolute favorite band and I have liked them since their first album came out. I’ve seen them in concert and their music puts me in such a good mood so if they were the last thing I’d listen to I’d be happy. My final movie I would pick would most definitely be Mean Girls. It’s my favorite movie of all time and it makes me laugh each time I watch it. I’ll never get tired of it and all the stupid little lines in it. For my final website I think I would pick Facebook. No one really gets on Facebook anymore but I pick it because I still really like to go on and keep in touch and be in the know of what’s happening. Before I die I would 100% pick the classic chicken fingers with french fries and ranch meal. I know it’s not a fancy home cooked meal but I could eat it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner if I had to. For my last place I would visit I would pick Vail, Colorado. I love to snowboard and I’ve been out west before and it was one of the most fun experiences of my life. Before I die I would love to go out there again with my dad and brother to snowboard for a few days. Something I would love to have knowledge on is the cure for cancer. I will never understand why there is none and how with all the technology and doctors we have today we still cannot find a definite cure for this disease. My other thing I would love to have knowledge on would be why people enjoy watching That 70s show. I absolutely hate this show and do not understand why it’s still played or why people even watch it or talk about it. I will never understand anything about that show. One particular last activity I would love to do would be to go bungee jumping anywhere in Jamaica. I have always wanted to do it and I think that right before I die would be the only actual time I will ever have the guts to go through with it. The last thing is something I would guard with my life. I would easily have to pick my phone. I know it is sort of sad that this is what I choose to guard with my life but I can’t go anywhere without it and it is really the only thing I use every single day.

2. There is one last song that I would like to hear before I die. That is a song by Ozzy Osbourne called Life Won’t Wait. It is one of my favorite songs and I think it is inspirational and conveys an important message.
3. If there was a movie that I could watch before I die it would have to be Christmas Vacation. That is a movie that my parents and I always enjoy watching when Christmas time comes around. That movie always reminds me of the holidays and the good times that I have with my family when they come around.
4. Before I die, there is one website that I would have to visit. That website would have to be YouTube. That is a website that I always go to when I want to find a specific video, whether it is for a purpose or just to have fun.
5. If I could have any final meal before I die it would be grilled cheese with tomato soup. That has always been one of my favorite meals. I can remember my grandmother making it for me whenever I went to visit my grandparents when I was younger.
6. If there was one place I could visit before I die, I would visit Australia. That is one of the only places outside of the United States that I have ever wanted to see.
7. If I could get instant knowledge of any of life’s great serious mysteries I would want to know is whether Bigfoot is real or not.
8. If I could get instant knowledge of any of life’s great head scratchers I would want to know is do only the good die young?
9. One last activity that I would want to do is to hike the Eastern Appalachian Trail. I would like to do this because I think it would be an interesting and fun way to see a lot of the country.
10. There are no prized possessions that I would guard with my life but there are people that I would do almost anything to protect. There are no material possessions that are worth risking your life over. Things can be replaced, but people cannot.

For a final thing to read I would choose the book Incarceron, mainly because this book was the first book that got me interested in reading again. I would love to read it one final time. For a final song, I would listen to Excursion Funnel because I find it to be a comforting and hauntingly relaxing. As for a movie I would love to see How To Train Your Dragon with my family again because of how much we enjoyed it when we saw it together last time. It was a well-animated movie that contained a good dose of humor. As for the final website I would visit, I would most likely choose to visit a fan fiction sit so that I can read a well-written story before death. As for my final meal I would choose cream chipped beef with biscuits because it is one of my favorite breakfast foods. A place that I would love to go to would be Italy, specifically Rome mostly because I would love to see the architecture there in person. As for instant knowledge on any one of life's great mysteries, I'd love to have absolute knowledge about the human body. Because it would be so interesting, having knowledge about yourself that you never knew. Now on the less serious side if I can have knowledge on any one of life's great head-scratches, I would choose to understand how show about magical technicolored ponies that learn about the magic of friendship managed to become one of the most popular shows with the fastest growing fanbase ever in existence. One last activity that I would like to do is be with my parents during the end of the world for the sole purpose of comforting them. My most prized possession, not counting my own life is the lives of my friends and family because with out them, there really is no purpose to existence.

1. The last thing that I would want to read would be a religious quote. My favorite religious quote is, “God didn't promise a life without, pain, struggles and hardships, but he did promise he will give you the strength to get through them.” –Unknown. This quote gives me hope that God will be with me through my last day and when I die. I would not have been able to go through my life without God.

2. The last song that I would like to listen to would be a spiritual song such as Amazing Grace. I would want to be relaxed and want to know that God will be there for me when I die.

3. The last movie that I would want to watch would be a funny movie such as The Campaign. I would want to watch an entertaining movie so that I could laugh and have a good time before I die and enjoy my last hours.

4. The last website that I would visit before I die would be Facebook so that I could tell everyone goodbye.

5. My final meal would be at the Big Fish Grille. I would order scallops and fries. For dessert I would get peanut putter pie. That is by far my favorite restaurant and my favorite meal and I would want to die knowing that I ate my favorite meal.

6. The final place that I would like to visit would be Cancun, Mexico. I have been there three times and it is definitely the most beautiful place that I have ever seen before. Also, seeing the clear water and listening to the waves crash relaxes me. I want Cancun to be the last place that I visit before I die.

1. The last book I would read before I die would be “The Hobbit” by J. R. R. Tolkien. I always dread summer reading books mainly because I can’t get myself to sit down and read during the summer, but this book was an exception. During the hurricane in the summer of 2011 together my aunt and I read “The Hobbit.” Quickly I was hooked and loved the adventure. Along with reading the book if I had time I would also watch the movie that is soon to come out this month.
2. To pick a single song I would like to listen to would be an incredibly hard choice. I have a large range of genre’s I like to listen to but if I had to choose I would probably pick a Carrie Underwood song. I think most of her music is very peaceful. My last day will be filled with peace and relaxation.
3. My favorite movie would be “She’s the Man” with Amanda Bynes and Channing Tatum. This is a great comedy and I love all of the actors/actresses in the film. I would not want to be sad on my last day so a great comedy would hopefully bring lots of laughs.
4. I do not visit many websites on a daily basis besides today’s popular social networking sites. So if I had to choose I would probably visit Facebook because it’s the easiest way to connect to my friends and family other than through telephone.
5. I would not want to cook my last meal. I would go to one of my favorite restaurants and order my usual meal there, such as P.F. Changs or Café Napoli. The decision on the place would all be dependent on my cravings that particular day.
6. A few summers ago I went on a cruise to the Mediterranean. The coastline of Italy is the most beautiful place I have ever been to in my life thus far. I would love to visit there again and just sit by the crystal blue waters, put my toes in the sand, and just relax.
7. A mystery I would love to have access to is if some of these creatures people say are real such as, The Lochness Monster or Big Foot. There are several shows today saying that they hunt these creatures but I never really know what to believe.
8. One of life’s biggest head scratchers I believe is how people find shows such as Teen Mom and The Jersey Shore so fascinating. I have seen these shows and just think to myself… “What is the point in all of this?”
9. On my bucket list, my last activity would not be to skydive or jump off a cliff but to dance. I previously was a dancer for many years and it was my life until I lost the passion I had for so many years. It sounds simple but just dance, whether it be alone or with friends and family. You can be anything or anyone when you dance.
10. My most prized possession would be my stuffed animal, Lamby. I would take my lamb everywhere when I was younger and have many childhood memories with him. Yes, Lamby has undergone several surgeries and is a little worn down but nothing can replace something that has so many memories.

The final book I would read would be Fifty Shades of Gray. Everyone always talks about it and says how good it is so I don’t think I could die without knowing what inside that book. The last song I’d listen to is “Pour Some Sugar On Me,” by Def Leppard. It’s a good rock song that just puts me in a happy mood, and it makes you want to dance. I would definitely need to watch That 70’s Show on abc family one more time. I watch it every day after school and it’s hilarious. I don’t have a twitter or instagram or any of that because I don’t know how to do it. So I’d probably be on facebook for my last visited website. Not that anyone really posts on there anymore. Maybe they would if the world was ending. My final meal would be chocolate cake with a scoop of chocolate ice cream. My two favorite things in life. Might as well get fat if I’m going to die tomorrow anyway! One of the last places I’d like to visit is pretty far away. I’m not even sure if you can even get to it unless you’re in a helicopter. But I’ve always wanted to see Victoria Falls. It is ten times better than Niagara for sure! It’s gorgeous – in pictures anyway. I would like to know the answer to why people leave their shopping carts in the middle of the parking lot. It’s a dumb thing, but it really bugs me because they have places to put your cart back like two feet from where they left their cart. I guess people are just lazy. One last activity I’d like to do is swim with dolphins. It seems like everyone gets to do that except me. I don’t think there’s any object I’d guard with my life, but I would definitely protect my dog and my cat, because they can’t fend for themselves.

1. I guess I would have to go with the bible. It just seems right that it would be the last thing I read.
2. The final song I would like to hear is "Three Little Birds" by Bob Marley.
3. I would probably watch "Forrest Gump" because it has always been one of my favorites.
4. I would definitely check PowerSchool one more time. Just to get one last look at my grades.
5. My final meal would have to be my mom's spaghetti with meat sauce. This has always been one of my favorite meals, hands down.
6. I would like to visit Hawaii and relax just as the native people do.
7. I would want to know what is coming in the after life. What is really there?
8. I would want to know how the Kardashians are even famous? Why do they still have a TV show? Does anyone watch this show? If so, why? And why do they openly admit to watching this show?
9. I would definitely want to go skydiving. That would be the most thrilling experience.
10. While I do not necessarily have a single possession that I would guard with my life, I would guard any of my family's or friends' lives with my own.

Journal Bucket List
1. For my last reading ever, I would choose to read “The 5 People You Meet in Heaven” by Mitch Albom. I figure, if I’m going to die, I might as well get some ideas on the people I will meet in heaven…hopefully. Also, I have read Mitch Albom’s other book “Tuesdays with Morrie” and absolutely loved it. This book is only a few hundred pages so it won’t waste my last bit of time by putting me to sleep.
2. The final song that I’d like to hear would be “What’s My Age Again” by Blink 182. If I’m old and slowly eroding away into my death bed, I feel that this song is kind of ironic for the occasion. Plus, Blink 182 is my all time favorite band.
3. My final television show that I’d like to watch would be Beavis and Butthead. This is easily the greatest show ever created. It is so simple and rude that it is just the right kind of humor for me. I mean, who doesn’t think that farts and getting smacked in the face by “babes” isn’t funny?
4. The final website that I will visit will be twitter. How else will all of my devoted followers get to see my wrinkles and liver spots and know what kind of blended up mush I’m eating? I need to supply my people with the information I’d like to believe that they care about so much.
5. My final meal will be a bushel of Maryland Blue Claw crabs with clams, a cup of melted butter, and a glass of frozen strawberry lemonade. I also want it to be a Sunday so that I can watch my Denver Broncos kick the crap out of whomever they play. I know this sounds simple, but this is because that is how life should be, simple.
6. For my place to travel I have two places. For my first place, I’d like to travel to New Zealand with my girlfriend, Kaetlin Zink, because I honestly feel that this is The Garden of Eden. This is the most beautiful place on the planet that has every single type of geography possible on this planet. My second place, I’d like to travel to Brazil for much of the same reasons. I also want to attend a football game there.
7. If I was to attain instant knowledge on any one of life’s great serious mysteries I would like to know what it would take to achieve world peace. I’ve always wanted to have my name go down as one of the greats of history so if I was able to achieve world peace in my final days on Earth I would.
8. I’m going to answer this from a man’s standpoint. I want to gain instant knowledge on understanding women. Women are one of the biggest head-scrathers that the universe has ever known. They will yell, scream, and cry for one minute, and then smile, laugh, and hug the next. They are impossible to please. As a man, you are always wrong. I just want instant knowledge on how to crack these codes before I die and give them to the men of the world.
9. The last activity that I’d like to do would be to have a dance party with all of my friends and people that I enjoy. The happiest times in my life are when I can just let loose and dance the night away. Nothing makes me happier. I’ve never been afraid of the spotlight so if my friends would just form a circle around me at some point and let me free-style also, then I’d really enjoy that.
10. The prize possession that I would literally guard with my life is watch my girlfriend got me. It was very expensive and she worked many hours to be able to purchase this for me. It is by far the nicest thing I own and if anyone ever. She knows me so well. She got me a flashy, yet classy watch which is my favorite. She also made sure that it was the leather straps so that it wouldn’t rip all of the hair out of my gorilla arms. I would take on the Persian Army in order to protect this watch.

5)My last meal would be my grandmom’s meatball lasagna with a coke.
6)I have always wanted to visit Scotland and visit the castles. It’s not the mainstream vacation to go to so that’s why I would want to go. I would want to stay for a while and learn about the culture from the locals.
7)Does wearing black really make you look thinner?
8)Why did the last man to be hanged in Delaware think it was a good idea to choose that method of execution when he had other options and then try to declare it unconstitutional to try to get out of it?
9)I would like to watch a taping of Bill O’Reilly’s TV show and laugh.
10)I would guard my journal with my life. It’s not just an ordinary journal. I have written down all of the lessons I have learned, experiences, and random daily advice to pass on to someone some day. I would want someone to be able to read it and learn from my mistakes.

1.) If I had to pick something to read knowing that it would be the last thing that I’ll ever read it would probably be the Bible. Im not a really religious person but I would want to know what the Bible is really all about. I would want to have my own opinions about important topics in the Bible and see if I could come across something different that was taught to me in my theology classes over my four years at Saint Marks.
2.) The final song that I would want to here before I died would be Remember the Time by Michael Jackson. I grew up as huge Jackson fan and like almost all of his songs. I like Remember the Time the most because the chorus of the song is just so catchy.
3.) The movie that I would want to watch one last time is Friday Night Lights. Its my favorite movie and what makes it better is that its about football and how football can bring so much pressure to a player during it’s senior year.
4.) The final website I would look at is ESPN.com because I’ve always been on top of the most recent news in sports.
5.) My final meal would be hotdogs and baked beans because it has been a childhood favorite of mine.
6.) Disney World would be the last place I visit because my family usually take a trip there every four years and I was a big time Disney kid growing up.
7.) One serious mysteries that I would want to know about life is that is there really a god out there and how did everything get created?
8.) One of life’s great head scratchers that I would like to know is that how do people think South Park and Family Guy are funny?
9.) One last activity that I would like to do is to play the sport I love, which is football, in front of all my family one last time and win the state championship my senior year
10.) One prized possession that I would literally guard with my life is my family. I don’t really have one item that I would protect but I would do anything to protect my family at all costs.

1. The last book I would read would be Perks of Being a Wallflower. It's the best book I have ever read, and I've read a lot of books.
2. This was the hardest question for me to answer. I listen to music all the time. Better Days by the Goo Goo Dolls has been a song I've loved for as long as I can remember.
3. The last movie I would watch would be Forrest Gump. I've probably seen this movie twenty times and it never gets old.
4. The last website I would visit would probably be twitter. I don't get on the computer a lot, but when I do it's either to do homework or get on twitter. So twitter is basically my only option.
5. The last thing I would want to eat would be a bagel with cream cheese. I would eat a bagel for every meal if I could. I love them.
6. One place I would really love to visit would be Greece. I have been there before and it was the best experience of my life and I would do anything to go back and see the friends I made again.
7. I would love to know if everything really does happen for a reason. I'd like to believe that it does.

10. A prized possession that I would guard with my life would be the box of "memories" I have kept since 6th grade. My entire life is in one box. I don't know what I would do if I lost it. Everything that I consider important to me (besides family and friends of course) is kept in that box.

1. The final thing I would have to read would probably be The Tale of Despereaux by Kate DiCamillo. When I was younger, this used to be my favorite book. I read it a good couple of dozen times. This story was part of my childhood and it would be nice to reminisce in it before I meet my maker.
2. A song that I would like to hear would be I Want You Back by Jackson 5. This song is one of those upbeat classics that you never get tired of hearing. It always puts me in a better mood and is just entertaining to listen and sing along with.
3. The TV show I would choose is New Girl. New girl is a quirky serious that always brought a smile to my face. The show is filled with comedic relief that would probably be unrealistic but yet is something where you wish you lived in those characters’ shoes.
4. I’d probably visit twitter as my final website. I’d probably check what everyone else was doing with his or her life, and then I would tweet one last time just because I can.
5. My final meal would consist of food from Buffalo Wild Wings. I would get the traditional wings of mango habanero, honey BBQ, and, or, Parmesan garlic. And if I had room for more I’d get a side of fries to go along with all the wings.
6. I have always wanted to go to Hawaii. Hawaii seems like a beautiful place to visit. Besides, if I had to choose the last place I went to or was before I died, who wouldn’t want to say Hawaii?
7. I believe one of life’s serious mysteries would be why do we suffer? Why is it possible as humans we feel pain and guilt? It doesn’t do any good to us but to make us pity ourselves and just hurt. That’s a question I always hear that has a multitude of answers that can all be possible.
8. A head scratcher would be: Why does everyone one want to have the lives of the people in Jersey Shore? I understand that it’s an entertaining show and that their lives would be fun to live but not all the time.
9. One last activity I would like to do would be go up on stage and sing with someone famous. Even if I do a really bad job and would probably be shaking in my pants at least I would be able to say to someone that I did it and that it was an achievement I finally fulfilled.
10. My prized possession would be my Nemo stuffed animal. Finding Nemo is one of my favorite movies, and I always bring my Nemo everywhere I go.

10. I would guard my 2012 MVP plaque with my life. It has so much meaning to me since it symbolizes everything that I had to overcome to get to this point in my life.

The time to die comes for everyone, some are taken sooner than others and are taken before they accomplish the few things they want to do before the end. In my last days, if I was able to do all nine things on this list, It would literally complete my life.
The Final book I would read is the Bible. Honestly, how long could it take if you really set your mind to it? Although it is not the thriller that most people would think of, we hear about it every day at school and to be able to say. “I have read that” Would be awesome. Final song: Circle of Life (Lion King Version). I grew up knowing all the lines to The Lion King and it would be a great completion to hear that at my last moments as a final wrap up. Movie: although the above is one of my favorites, I would sit down with a huge bowl of kettle cooked popcorn, and enjoy one final showing of The Shawshank Redemption. Absolutely great movie and it’s the first great movie that popped into my head. Website: Twitter and instagram are my favorite online sites, but when it comes down to it, what meaning does the internet have? Meal: My Abuela’s Cuban pork roast, arroz con gris (Black beans and rice) and pasteles for desert (flaky pastry with guave). Place to visit: I would like to spend my last year’s somewhere sunny with perfect weather. The Bahamas would be the place to die, if there were any appropriate spots. Knowledge: The Universe. Anyone out there? Is there any other species that could communicate with us? Will anyone ever make it outside this galaxy? Head-scratcher: You want new shoes for $97. You borrow 50 from your mom and 50 from your dad. You get three dollars change back. You give each donor one dollar back and hold one for yourself. You now owe them $49 each= $98 plus the one dollar you kept 98+1= 99. What happened to the other dollar. Activity: Fly at supersonic speeds in a jet fighter. That just sounds incredible.
Out of everything I own, the prayer to the guardian angel and picture that I have may be the one thing I would protect for my life.

1. The final book that I would like to read would be the Bible. I value my faith and I think that this would be the best choice for me. It would give me strength and hope in my time of need.
2. The final song that I'd like to hear would have to be a country song. If I had to pick one, I'd pick "Jesus, Take the Wheel" by Carrie Underwood. I admire Carrie Underwood and have always thought she was an inspirational woman. This has to be one of my favorite songs of hers. The song is about a woman that skids on black ice while driving. She throws her hands up and says "Jesus, take the wheel." Guided by Jesus, her car comes to a stop and saves the life of both her and her child.
3. The last movie that I would like to watch would be the movie, "Bridesmaids." This movie has me laughing to tears every time I watch it, and I definitely would want to see it as my last movie.
4. The final website that I would visit would have to be Facebook. I'd go on the website and look at all the pictures I have posted throughout my life. I think it would be a perfect reminder of all of my great memories I have shared with friends and family.
5. My final meal would have to be a home cooked meal made by my mom. It would be cheeseburger pie with chocolate pudding pie for dessert.
6. Before I die I'd like to be a part of a flash mob. I have seen so many on TV and on YouTube and it is one of my dreams to be a part of one!
7. If I could get knowledge on any one of life's great mysteries it would have to be if there really is an end to the world. Will everything eventually be destroyed? How? When?
8. I can't think of any good head-scratchers at the moment, but I do remember a question that I heard one time that made me think. Why do we park in the driveway and drive on the parkway?
9. One last activity that I would enjoy doing would be traveling to Africa and going on a safari to see all the wild and endangered animals. Ever since I went to Myrtle Beach last summer and held a baby tiger, I have been intrigued by all the wild species of animals. I would like to go on the interactive tour where you can hold and play with the baby tigers.
10. My dog would have to be my most prized possession. You will never find me in my house without my dog.

The final thing to read is a very hard question because I feel like I would want to read something new, but I wouldn't know if it would be good or not. I would probably re-read my favorite book, Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas by James Patterson. The final song I would want to hear is “She Will be Loved” by Maroon 5 because that is also my favorite song. The song also brings back happy memories from summer time and those are always good to have. I don’t watch too many TV shows however I would love to watch American Horror Story because I love watching this show it always leaves me wanting more and always surprises me. I can never predict what is coming next. Even though it is very embarrassing the final website I would probably visit is twitter because I am always looking at my phone looking at twitter, but if I had to choose and actually knew it was my last I would want to look at a website that would make me feel happy or laugh, so probably FML.com or stumbleupon.com because they are funny websites. My final meal would be Pizza by Elizabeths cheese pizza with alfredo sauce and broccoli and tomatoes. For dessert I would want the pumpkin bread pudding from lemons and Capers. I really want to see Cirque de Soleil in person, or go to France. I really want to find out what the government keeps from US citizens, like mermaids or aliens if they really exist. I would want to find out why on earth people watched a TV show called “honey boo boo” about the trash of America with grotesque people. One last thing I would want to do is go to the beach because the beach is my favorite place on earth. The possession I would guard with my life would be the silver necklace that my parents gave me for my confirmation. Mainly because it came from both my parents and because its an Italian cross, its unique and religious.

1. My final book I would read would be Looking for Alaska by John Green. It has both comedy and drama and John Green is an interesting writer who draws you into his novels. The story is inspiring and impacts the way you think for some time after reading it. I would recommend it to anyone.

2. I listen to a lot of music so this question was the hardest for me. The final song I would like to hear would be “The Voice Within” by Christina Aguilera. I can’t really explain why I like this song so much. I think it’s because she has such a powerfully simple voice. The message of the song is inspiring too. It has always been one of my top songs.

3. The final TV show I would watch would be Seinfeld because it reminds me of my dad every time I watch it. He watches it every night after dinner, and because of him I have seen every episode. It is also a really funny show, even if it is about “nothing.”

4. The last website I would visit would be YouTube. I love that you can spend hours on it and never get bored. You can find music, videos that make you laugh, and videos that make you cry. It has something for everyone.

5. My last meal would be pizza. My favorite pizza is with cheese, fresh tomato, and basil. I don’t get it often because everyone usually likes regular cheese pizza but when I do have it I love when it’s homemade.

6. I would want to visit the beach one last time. It holds so many memories, spending every summer there since I have been born. I would the visit to be in the summer, when it’s so full of life. That’s how I remember it best.

7. A mystery I have always been curious about is if the world is going to end. I don’t think the world is going to end in 2012, but could it end in the future? Where would it go? Would it just disappear or would it drop out of space? Is that even possible? What would happen to everything and everyone? There are so many questions I have on this topic.

8. Since the speed of light is faster than the speed of sound, is that why some people appear to be bright until you hear them speak?

9. One activity I would like to try before I leave would be storm chasing. I love watching the shows on storm chasers and it looks like such a thrilling thing to do. To be so close to a tornado or hurricane so dangerous and powerful is amazing.

10. I don’t have a lot of sentimental possessions, but something I am very protective of is my iPod. It has all my songs on it and I am always listening to music. I don’t think I could go a day without it. Songs can hold memories and mean different things for a lot of people.

7. The great mystery that I would want knowledge of is whether or not there are other earth-like planets in the universe that contain life. I find it hard to believe that out of the trillions of planets and stars that exist, we would be the only one with life, but you never know.
8. The head scratcher I would like to know is why the chicken actually crossed the road.
9. One last activity I would like to do is drive a Lamborghini Aventador on the Autobahn in Germany.
10. One possession that I would guard with my life is a stuffed animal that I have had my whole life, and my mom actually got as a gift before I was even born. It is beat up and has no fur left, but it has been in my room for my entire life so I would have to keep it for years to come.

I’ve always wanted to make a “Bucket list” after watching the movie The Bucket List a couple of years ago. Making a bucket list is kind of on my bucket list, if that makes any sense. If I had to read one final book before I died, I would want to read To Kill A Mocking Bird by Harper Lee because it’s such a classic and I’ve always wanted to read it, but I’ve never gotten around to it. I love listening to music, so choosing one specific song to listen to before I die is pretty difficult, but I’d have to say that I’d listen to Heaven by Bryan Adams. I know it’s probably not the most common song that a teenager would say that they would listen to before dying, but I like it. I remember from when I was a little kid how my dad would sing it to my mom while she cooked or really, at any time, so it always reminds me of them. Along with music, movies are one of my favorite things, choosing one specifically is almost impossible. The movie I’d want to watch for one last time would have to be the classic; It’s A Wonderful Life, because it’s one of my favorite movies. The final website that I would visit would probably be Tosh.0’s blog because almost all the time, it’s hilarious. My mom would definitely cook my final meal because she’s the best cook I’ve ever met, and I’d have her make her delicious Filet Mignon and baked potato dinner. I went to Italy in 2011 with an exchange program here at St. Marks and I absolutely loved it. I loved it so much, I didn’t even want to come home, so before I die I would definitely want to go back for a couple of weeks or months if possible. Throughout my life, I’ve had some pretty serious questions that cant really be answered by anyone. If I could have one answer to a great serious mystery, It would without a doubt be “Why do the worst things happen to the best people?” On a lighter note, I would ask another question like “Why doesn’t the glue stick to the inside of the bottle?” One last thing that I’d like to do before I die would have to be to go to the beach for one last time. A prized possession that I would guard with my life would have to be my German Shepherd dog, Pepper.

8. If I could have instant knowledge on any head scratchers it would be why do celebrities enjoy negative attention? Or why would you want to be famous for being stupid?
9. The last activity I would do would be playing soccer. I have played soccer for almost my whole life, and I can’t imagine my life without playing. Doing what I love for the last time would be just what I need to be able to be content with everything that is about to happen.

The last song I would listen to would probably be “Say Goodbye” by Chris Brown. I love this song and Chris Brown. Also this song says, how there is never a good time to say goodbye which is like that theres never a good time to die and say goodbye to all your friends and family.
The last show I would watch would be Keeping up with the Kardashians because its one of my favorite shows. I love all the Kardashians and Jenners but Kendall, Kylie, and Kourtney are my favorites.

1. final thing to read – This is a close call, but if I had to pick one (as I am admittedly not a reader), I would pick He was a Crook by Hunter S. Thompson. This is not a book – rather, it is a 1994 article published in Rolling Stone magazine, where Thompson arguably wrote his best material. This is an article about Richard Nixon, and he wrote it not long after Nixon’s death. Instead of memorializing Nixon as one might expect, however, Thompson roasts him. It is truly an iconic piece of writing by Thompson, and perhaps the most intriguing piece I’ve ever taken the time to read.

2. final song that you'd like to hear – Here’s another tough one. After 15 minutes of deliberation, it would probably be the live version of ‘Shelter from the Storm’ by Dylan (preferably the 1976 Hard Rain version). There is a certain amount of raw energy and power on this track that’s difficult to explain. I’ve never heard anything quite like it captured on tape. It is probably my favorite recording Dylan ever made, and therefore it gets my vote for the final song I’d like to hear.

3. movie or tv show that you'll watch one last time – This is a no-brainer for me. Beavis & Butthead would be the TV show that I would watch one last time. It is perhaps the most immature show on television, but I have no shame whatsoever admitting that I am 18 years old and I am a fanatical fan of this show. It was the last show worth watching on MTV after it strayed away from “Music Television.”

4. final website you'll visit – BobDylan.com. I have to figure out where in the world the master is going to be next!

5. final meal – coconut shrimp, with hush puppies, French fries, a large Coca-Cola, and a German chocolate cake for dessert. I can’t think of a better meal to close out my life. That’s about as good as it gets right there.

6. place or event you'd like to visit or attend – I’d love to attend a World Series game, preferably one where the Orioles are playing. I can see it now – Camden Yards is sold out and filled to the gills, game 4, bottom of the 9th, 2 outs, and…”the Braves strike out (first National League team I could think of)! The Orioles are the world champions of baseball!” That would be my dream, and if the Orioles ever do make the World Series again, I will absolutely be there.

7. you get instant knowledge on any one of life's great serious mysteries – I would love to know for sure what the true meaning of life is. I think everyone has their own definition, but I’d love to know the one “correct” definition. I think that is a question that every person would love to know the answer to.

8. you get instant knowledge on any one of life's great head-scratchers – Why do people like MTV so much? Isn’t the network called MUSIC Television? When was the last time a music video aired on MTV? 1990? I have never understood the reasoning or the logic behind keeping the MTV name – minus the music.

9. other than any of the above, one last activity you'd like to do – Call me crazy, but the answer to this question would be skydiving. My physics teacher did this a few years back, and said it was one of the coolest, freest experiences he’d ever had. It has always been something I would like to do, and one of these days, I think I might just do that. It would be an incredible experience and certainly a life-changing one, without a doubt.

10. tell me a prized possession that you would literally guard with your life – Another tough question. The answer would probably be my CD collection. It’s not a singular “possession,” but I can’t pick just one. I have accumulated a collection of over 2,000 CDs (and I’m not kidding), and all of them are frequently played and enjoyed. I don’t think I could choose just one CD – I’d have to take them all. When it comes to music, I am a bit of a hoarder, but I wouldn’t trade my collection for anything.

1. The final thing I would read is The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky because it is my favorite novel. I even picked my senior quote from this book.
2. The last song I would listen to is Somewhere Over the Rainbow/ What a Wonderful World by Israel "IZ" Kamakawiwoʻole. In this song, he sings a medley with both songs while he plays a ukulele. This song is just so serene and soothing. It truly is a beautiful song and I think it would be appropriate for the situation.
3. The final tv show I would like to watch is How I Met Your Mother. This tv show is honestly so funny and I love it so much. I laugh everytime I watch it even if I’ve seen the episode a million times and maybe a good laugh is what I would need at the time.
4. The last website I would visit would have to be twitter. I can’t die without telling my followers!
5. The last meal I would have would be a table full of Filipino food. I would definitely want some rice and adobo and maybe some other dishes to go with that. I might even want fried chicken from Jollibee (a filipino fast food restaurant, probably equivalent to KFC or Popeyes).
6. The final event I would like to attend is a dance class at the Movement Lifestyle Studio in Los Angeles that is taught by its founder, Shaun Evaristo.
7. A mystery that I would like to know the answer to is if there really was a lost city of Atlantis.

9. Other than these activities, I would like to swim with the dolphins because it seems like fun.
10. Something that I hold dearly to my heart and would protect is my polaroid camera.

1. The final thing I would read would be The Notebook because it has a romantic and over the edge plot. It is written by Nicholas Sparks and is among some of his finest work.
2. The final song that I’d like to hear is Cruise by Florida Georgia Line. It is a country song and gets you really hyped up and always puts me in a good mood no matter what.

3. The movie or TV show that I would watch one last time is Titanic. It is my favorite movie of all time and I could literally watch it every single day regardless of it being 4 hours long.

4. The final website I’d visit would be twitter or facebook because it is a means of communicating with my friends and family and also update those close to me on what is happening currently in my life.
5. The final meal I would enjoy would be Buffalo Wild Wings. I would order the same exact meal that I order every time I go, 10 boneless wings, 5 of which are mango habanero and the other 5 are honey barbeque.
6. A place or event I’d like to visit or attend is Ireland. I have always wanted to visit Ireland since I can remember. I am Irish and am also very interested in learning about my heritage and where I came from.
7. If I got instant knowledge on any one of life's great serious mysteries it would be to determine whether or not Marilyn Monroe’s death was suicide or if she was murdered. I have always been fascinated in Marilyn Monroe’s glamorous life and unsettled about the means in which she died at such a young age.
8. If I got instant knowledge on any one of life's great head-scratchers it would be why does Nicki Minaj have so many strange personas?
9. I would like to either go skydiving or cliffdiving, or possibly throw a huge party and invite the whole east coast.
10. My prized possession would be my Tabasco sauce or my cell phone.

If I were going to die soon I think I would read that I could relate my life to a lot. I would read something that almost told the story of what I did in my life so that I could reminisce on my life and realize how good of a life I had. If I could find one I would read a book about someone growing up and dying to appreciate the whole idea. The final song that I would listen to would be a Christmas song because Christmas time is absolutely my favorite time of the year and It would remind me of all of the amazing Christmases that I had! It would preferably be This Christmas or Silver Bells (coincidentally I am currently listening to This Christmas). The movie that would watch last would most likely again be a Christmas move and it would definitely be Elf and if I really didn’t want to think about Christmas because it would depress me to much that I would never have another one I would watch Black Hawk Down because that is one of my favorite movies of all time. The last website that I would visit would be YouTube and I would watch funny videos or Christmas videos to make myself laugh or to make myself happy and give me happy dying thoughts. The final meal that I would eat would be a big juicy bacon cheeseburger because that is my favorite food. Also, my mom makes a delicious chicken casserole that I would love to eat before dying. A place that I would love to go before I died would be the place that I grew up so that u could reminisce on all of the memories (preferably around Christmas time). I would want to learn what actually happens in the Bermuda triangle and I would also like to know where aliens are out there and if they have ever been to earth before if so what did they do here. Maybe the two of them are connected!? A great head scratcher that I would love to solve is how do people dislike Christmas? I have never understood that I want someone to tell me a negative thing about Christmas. Also I want to know why do people complain so much, no matter how fun or good something is people still find a way to complain. One last activity I would love to do is go to space because I think space is really interesting. Something I would literally guard with my life is my freedom, my family, and my memories not that someone could really take that from you but hypothetically someone could damage your head pretty badly.

1. The last thing I would want to read is Dear John. With all my sports, homework, family, etc. I never have any “down time”. Therefore, if I were going to die, I would finally have time (I hope) to sit down and read the book.
2. The final song I would like to hear is called Back To December by Taylor Swift. This is definitely my favorite song and her messages in her songs are so innocent and peaceful; and I think Taylor Swift is a very good role model.
3. The last TV show I would want to watch would have to be Jersey Shore. I would want to watch this “garbage of a TV show” because it makes me laugh so much! The show would take my mind off having to die soon and I could just laugh at all the dumb things they were doing on the show.
4. The final website I would visit would probably be twitter. I go on twitter when I’m bored and have absolutely nothing else to do, so I guess after I had already done everything else I wanted t do before I die, I would go on twitter one last time.
5. The final meal I would want to eat would be thanksgiving dinner. I could spend it with my family and eat all the foods I love!
6. I would like to attend a Taylor Swift concert because she is my favorite artist and I have never attended a concert before.
7. I would like to know the president’s mysterious and secrets. I would like to know if aliens exist and other mythological creatures.
8. I would like to know why people think the cast of jersey shore are good roles models and follow in their steps.
9. I would like to take a long and relaxing run through Papermill Park. Throughout the summer I ran 300+ miles with Marisa Chamness, over and over everyday at this park. At the end of the summer, we were both exhausted and so tired of that park. I would like to run there one last time.
10. I would guard my poppop’s guardian angel coin. He gave it to me before he passed away 5 years ago and I told him I would always have it with me.
