Sophomores: Aphorism Extra Credit
Those students who showed me on Monday their original aphorisms based on the four pillars of a St. Mark's education--faith, excellence, integrity, and humility--should write their aphorisms here in order to get their extra credit. If I post these aphorisms, I will do so anonymously.

Believe in what you know is right.
To be the best you must do the best.
No work is better than your own.
You are a gift that you cannot give but that you must allow to be opened by others.
Faith: To God you should pray, every single day
Excellence: Do not rest, until you've done your best
The best test is the ability to have humility.
You will never be lost with the light of faith.
One does not need perfection to have excellence.
Integrity builds what dishonesty destroys.
Excellence is not a skill, it is an attitude
Without a key you cannot open a lock, without faith you cannot know God
Faith is a door open to everyone
Talent can make you a winner, but humility will make you a champion
Exellence-Exellence in study leads to exellence in life.
Integrity-One who holds fast to his morals will not be blown away.
Humility-Humble yourself before someone does it for you.
Faith-Faith in the Lord is Faith in life.
Faith: Faith is like a pillar of a life, take it down, and the whole roof will collapse.
Integrity: The work you do should reflect you, not others.
Excellence: It is better to be excellent in one thing than be mediocre in many.
Humilty: If you are praising yourself on your own good acts, than your doing those good acts for a bad reason.
Fools work harder,
Wise men work smarter,
Champions do both
Those who have integrity with others have integrity with themselves.
Be like those you have faith in so that others may have faith in you.
Look to others for praise, look not to yourself.
Live each day with excellence, for one will be your last.
Richness in faith is more meaningful than richness in money

Humility
•The center of attention will end up being the center of themselves.
Those who never strive for gold will always see the silver.
Excellence without perseverance is like succeeding without without goals.
Others may have faith in you, but you must have faith in yourself.
Someone without faith is like a ship without a sail.
Winning with too much pride makes you a loser, but losing with humility makes you a winner.
Integrity
